Hi, we've gotten reports that Gluon 2016.1 doesn't boot on TL-WR841 v5. I've already found out that one of our patches on top of OpenWrt CC is the culprit (probably one of the backports from the OpenWrt trunk).
Unfortunately, I don't have such a device to test, so if you do and and are able to connect it to a serial console, getting logs of the crash would be highly appreciated. I suspect the issue might also be reproducible on the TL-WR741 v1/v2, TL-WR743 v1 and TL-WR941 v4, as the hardware is very similar.
You can use our experimental images from Lübeck to test: http://luebeck.freifunk.net/firmware/experimental/ (which are newer than Gluon 2016.1, but exhibit the same issue). If you are able to reproduce the issue and get a log, please also check if the current OpenWrt trunk snapshots are affected as well: https://downloads.openwrt.org/snapshots/trunk/ar71xx/generic/
